When home owners Dawn and Chip Shiver decided to stay in their beloved large family home after all the kids were grown, it was time to update – but they wanted to do it in a big way. So, they set out to redesign the entire space and invest in everything new…furniture, rugs, drapes, new paint, floors and art. Dawn loves the serenity and sophistication of neutral colors like ivory, white, cream and taupe, but really wanted to add distinctive and interesting pieces of art to create a one-of-a-kind personality to her freshly remodeled home, so she asked Litsa and her team at ADC to show her options and ideas.

Without ever stepping foot into ADC’s gallery (all the artwork was carefully pre-selected and brought directly to her home to view) the transformation began. One of Dawn’s favorite parts of the art selection process was being able to see pieces in her space before making a decision. It took a few trips, with a variety of things she laughingly says she would of NEVER seen anywhere else, but the final result was a sanctuary feel with surprises around every corner – especially the furry buffalo in the family room!

Dawn loves martinis so it was a perfect opportunity to join her with artist, Mary Barr Rhodes to enjoy a cocktail or two and talk art. “I love my home now more than ever and welcome my family, friends and neighbors over all the time for fun and friendship. It’s a place I feel so happy to be in and I’m grateful to Litsa and ADC for making my home and extension of my personality.”
